Euler Formula for effective length of columns

Euler's Formula

 

Consider a long simply-supported column under an external axial load F, as shown in the figure to the left. The critical buckling load (elastic stability limit) is given by Euler's formula,

where E is the Young's modulus of the column material, I is the area moment of inertia of the cross-section, and L is the length of the column.

Note that the critical buckling load decreases with the square of the column length.

 

Extended Euler's Formula

 

In general, columns do not always terminate with simply-supported ends. Therefore, the formula for the critical buckling load must be generalized.

The generalized equation takes the form of Euler's formula,

where the effective length of the column L_eff depends on the boundary conditions. Some common boundary conditions are shown in the schematics below: 

The following table lists the effective lengths for columns terminating with a variety of boundary condition combinations. Also listed is a mathematical representation of the buckled mode shape.

In the table, L represents the actual length of the column. The effective length is often used in column design by design engineers.

these sentences made a strange feeling inside me, i dont know why , but it made me optimistic, sometimes you feel tired of life, others try to make you more tired ! they dont know what are they doing with your sence , but the consequences are feeling depression in you! so every thing seems sad and black in your eyes, take care of your sence and take yourself away from these kind of people! just be hopeful and focus on your goals

 

 

رزومه خوب و چگونه نوشتن آن

یه روزمه استاندارد پیرو قوانین و دستورالعمل های خاصی هست، ولی در نهایت این شما هستید که تصمیم می گیرید چطور رزومه رو بنویسید، حال آنکه مقید بودن به قوانین می تونه شما رو از بهتر نوشتن محروم کنه. پس نکته اول این هست که واقعا تصمیم بگیرید که چیزی رو در واقعیت وجود داره و باید منتقل بشه رو بنویسید.

قبل از شروع به نوشتن، خوب فکر کنید. به تمامی مشاغل پیشین، درجات و رتبه های کاری، مدارک و سوابق تحصیلی و کلیه تجارب کاری مرتبط و غیر مرتبط خود فکر کنید. تک تک آنها می تواند در تصمیم گیری ستاد استخدام تاثیر بسزایی بگذارد.

نگاهي به مصر ، سرزمين فراعنه

اهرام مصر هزاران سال است که به عنوان آخرین نمادهای فرهنگ مصریان باستان برجای مانده اند . اما درکنارشان ، شتران ستبر و سخت کوشی نیز باقی مانده اند که در این دوران طولانی مسافران و بارهایشان را به سرزمینهای گرد اهرام می برده اند . تا هنوز نیز گرداندن جهانگردان و بازدیدکنندگان اهرام مصر بر دوش این شتران باربر است .

نگاهي ديگر ، رويكردي بهتر

روزی مرد کوری روی پله‌های ساختمانی نشست و کلاه و تابلویی را در کنار پایش قرار داده بود روی تابلو خوانده می شد:
“ من کور هستم لطفا کمک کنید”

روزنامه نگارخلاقی از کنار او می گذشت نگاهی به او انداخت فقط چند سکه در داخل کلاه بود. او چند سکه داخل کلاه انداخت و بدون اینکه از مرد کور اجازه بگیرد تابلوی او را برداشت آن را برگرداند و اعلان دیگری روی آن نوشت و تابلو را کنار پای او گذاشت و آنجا را ترک کرد. عصر آنروز روز نامه نگار به آن محل برگشت و متوجه شد که کلاه مرد کور پر از سکه و اسکناس شده است مرد کور از صدای قدمهای او، خبرنگار را شناخت و خواست اگر او همان کسی است که آن تابلو را نوشته بگوید که بر روی آن چه نوشته است؟
روزنامه نگار جواب داد: "چیز خاص و مهمی نبود، من فقط نوشته شما را به شکل دیگری نوشتم و لبخندی زد و به راه خود ادامه داد. مرد کور هیچوقت ندانست که او چه نوشته است ولی روی تابلوی او خوانده می شد: " امروز بهار است، ولی من نمیتوانم آنرا ببینم! "

وقتی کارتان را نمیتوانید پیش ببرید استراتژی خود را تغییر بدهید خواهید دید بهترینها ممکن خواهد شد باور داشته باشید.
